The Capital Projects Team have completed construction of a new drive-through Concrete Batching Plant at Gosford on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Working closely with operations, all aspects from design through to delivery were covered. This included complete demolition/removal of the old plant, and installation of all Civil, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Batch Control Systems.

The drive through plant design improves safety on site by eliminating reverse movements in the agi loading process.

With 400t cementitious and >500t aggregate storage capacity, this increases Boral’s ability to service upcoming projects in the Central Coast from a valuable location in the growing Gosford area.

Space and access were restricted, and significant rain delays caused notable challenges, but the teams worked well together to overcome them.

The project was a success thanks to the combined efforts of Boral Design, Projects & Operations teams, as well as our main contractors DMG, G&W Hydraulics, Bulk Engineering & Concept Engineering. Well done to all involved.
