We have been made aware of a fraudulent email being sent by unknown persons to some of our customers, advising them to change bank details for account payment.
Our bank details have not changed, and we would never send this request via email.
We take information security and protection very seriously and are working with relevant authorities and financial institutions.
We would encourage any customer who thinks they may have been scammed to make contact with their financial institution and report the matter via the Australian Government’s Scamwatch: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam
We advise customers to be particularly vigilant of email addresses. This particular scam involves an email address that incorrectly impersonates the Boral domain. The Australian Government provides advice on how to protect yourself from scams: https://www.cyber.gov.au/scams
