The NorthConnex project is two nine-kilometre dual-lane tunnels designed to ease Sydney’s traffic on one of the most congested roads in Australia.

The NorthConnex tunnels will form crucial links between the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahroonga to the Hills M2 Motorway at West Pennant Hills. This transformation will enable road users to travel from Melbourne to Newcastle without encountering a single set of traffic lights. It will also deliver significant benefits to local communities by removing about 5000 trucks daily from Pennant Hills Road.

Boral has established a mobile concrete batch plant at Mount Kuring-Gai, which is operating non-stop to supply the northern section of the project to reduce concrete truck traffic on Sydney roads. Our Blacktown fixed plant is servicing the southern end with the support of our extensive Sydney concrete plant network.
