Our Reconciliation Action Plan
The launch of Boral’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan recognises that we want to do more to build a just, equitable and reconciled Australia.
While we have championed the causes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our operations for many years, we adopted our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2019.
Our Innovate RAP sets more ambitious goals and commitments to contribute to reconciliation, focusing on four key pillars: Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance.
Our Innovate RAP commitments focus on:
- Relationships – building strong and long-lasting relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.
- Respect – deepening respect for, and raising cultural awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and achievements.
- Opportunities – broadening social and economic opportunities through employment, including long-term career pathways and training, and increased participation in our supply chain.
Our Innovate RAP deliverables aim to create positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, and support our progress towards achieving our reconciliation vision.
