Montrose Elders visit the Quarry

Recently, we welcomed residents of Kirkbrae Retirement Village and members of the local Men's and Ladies Shed to our Montrose Quarry for a special day out.

Local resident John Wilson had always been curious about the quarry site, as he used to own a local cafe near Montrose Quarry where he would give Boral drivers free cups of tea and coffee on cold mornings. He reached out to our team to see if the aged care residents could come to see the quarry first-hand.

Central Queensland team shines bright in Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline

A Boral team recently came together to support Central Queensland’s long-term water security through their involvement in the Gladstone Area Water Board’s Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline (FGP). The team of additional Drivers, Batchers in Charge and Area Managers from Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Agnes Waters came together to support the Gladstone team deliver more than 100 truckloads of concrete, from batching plants in Gladstone and Calliope, over two twelve-hour days.
