Lysterfield - at the southern foothills of Mt Dandenong in Melbourne's southeast is the joint home of one of our most efficient Quarry operations and our largest Recycling operation.
Every year, we sell over 300,000 tonnes of recycled materials out of Lysterfield. This is only possible with the support of the entire Lysterfield Quarry team including Site Manager Carl Millen, supervisors Ramone Mishra and David Towell and Jenny Gatford in the weighbridge.
A few months ago this teamwork expanded with our Property and Environment teams - with great support of Planning and Development Manager Liam Riordan and our Environment business partners Rob Medley and Sabastian Chisco Salamanca. As a result of their quality work, we're pleased to share that we have submitted and been successful with Environment Protection permits for all of our five Vic Recycling sites.
We've previously operated the sites under pre-existing use rights, but we needed to update our permits given upcoming legislative changes. This has been quite a challenge for us given the size and complexity of the task. With the dedication and commitment from Liam, Rob and Sebastian we have overcome with excellence and are now set to continue our growth!
