We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors at our Boral Materials Technical Services Laboratory in Sydney. It was an insightful visit where we showcased our state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge research and development capabilities.
Quantity surveyors work closely with construction and design teams to set project budgets and determine viability from a cost perspective. As a specialist industry player, Boral is able to share knowledge around construction materials capabilities and pricing so that quantity surveyors can give the best possible advice to their clients.
During the tour, our guests had the opportunity to see firsthand the extensive testing and analysis we conduct on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
In our presentation, attendees learned about embodied carbon concepts including key parameters around emission quantifications, and insights into the innovative solutions currently in the market to reduce emissions for new constructions.
This was followed by a Q&A session where our experts answered questions about our techniques and quality assurance protocols.
A special shoutout to Angelo Guerrera, our National Technical Product Manager, and Ben Gow, our Head of Technical Services, from Boral for facilitating the visit and making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with industry stakeholders and sharing our commitment to excellence in construction materials.
