Mr Cotterill joined SGH in March 2024 as its Chief Operating Officer. From 2007 to 2024, Mr Cotterill held various positions within CIMIC Group, overseeing numerous business strategies, M&A transactions and integration of large organisations. Mr Cotterill was appointed Executive General Manager Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions at CIMIC in April 2019 and served on the CIMIC group Executive Leadership Team.
Mr Cotterill lead the CIMIC Group’s acquisition of UGL, the creation of Ventia in 2015 and foundation director on the ASX listing of Ventia in 2021 and the 50% sale of Thiess to Elliott in 2020. Mr Cotterill has held various board positions, overseeing the operational performance and strategic directors of these organisations, including Ventia Group entities (2014 – 2022), Thiess Group entities (2020 – 2024), Nextgen Group entities (2015 – 2016).
