Nearly 70 per cent of Aussies serve chicken at home at least twice a week and in the last ten years, chicken has raced ahead of beef, lamb and pork as the meat we consume most annually.
To help satisfy Australia’s appetite for chicken, our Tamworth team are partnering with Baiada, one of the biggest producers of chicken meat in the country, to deliver its new manufacturing plant in the region.
Construction has already commenced at Baida’s state-of-the-art processing plant in Oakburn and we’ll be supplying over 18,000 cubic metres of concrete for the new facility.
The new facility, expected to be completed in early 2026, includes some of the most innovative and sustainable food technology in the world with a fully automated cold store and online traceability as well as the use of renewable energy from its established wastewater treatment plant.
Once complete, the facility will create over 700 local jobs – that’s another 700 people in regional Australia who will benefit from our efforts in Building Something Great.
