The Deer Park Bypass is a 9.3-kilometre freeway connecting Melbourne’s Western Ring Road directly to the Western Highway. On any given day, traffic volume is about 70,000 vehicles, of which 10 per cent is heavy vehicles.
The Deer Park Bypass project was delivered with considerable emphasis on innovation. Boral worked collaboratively to develop a suitable asphalt mix and safe working environment for the duration of the Deer Park Bypass project. The project works were primarily performed during off-peak hours. The project was completed nine months ahead of schedule.
