World Youth Skills Day is a time to recognise some of the work we are doing to build skills for young people in the construction industry.
We recently partnered with Remo Contractors in South Australia to provide hands-on concrete pouring experience for students from St Patrick’s College. St Patricks is a technical college in the northern suburbs of Adelaide that supports trade related education, apprenticeship and career pathways for young people in Year 10 to 12.
Three St Patricks students, under the personal guidance of Remo Contractors Director Remo, poured Boral supplied concrete into dome concrete slabs at a Remo Contractors Adelaide site.
Remo Contractors will be supporting work experience students moving forward to build construction and civil industry skills and help students to build industry connections that will level-up their careers and contribute to the growth of the civil construction industry.
We were delighted to help these young people with hands-on experience of preparing and pouring concrete as part of their studies.
